Andrew is a toy photographer and video editor based in Medford, NY. At an early age, he was drawn to the creative arts of film and photography. His art portrays the relationship between the real and unreal, as it captures a world filled with nature and fantasy.
Photography has been a great outlet to explore scenarios from the imagination. I aim to tell a ‘toy story’ in every one of my shots and convey immersion in not only the surroundings and expressions of the figure, but its craftsmanship as well.
Ever since I was a boy, I have been fascinated in the fantasy/anime/sci-fi genres. I draw influences from Peter Jackson, Jim Henson, Phil Tippett, and Hayao Miyazaki.
When viewing my photos, you can see a glimpse of a third person perspective: being transported to a new world, meeting our subjects, and their interactions with nature. A miniature world of toys alongside nature’s elements and her inhabitants, caught in a glimpse that can now be admired for however long we choose, frozen in time.
